Saigon Soul Food is owned and operated by Tâm Nguyen and her husband, Cameron Topp. Tâm was born in Hue, Viet Nam and grew up in Sài Gòn (Saigon) before coming to Canada as a refugee with her parents in 1980 at the age of eight. Tâm developed her recipe for spring rolls some fifteen years ago from a recipe that she learned from her mother. For years, Tâm always stocked at least 50 spring rolls in the freezer for family and friends. In the fall of 2003, some of Tâm's friends convinced Tâm to begin selling her spring rolls and she has not looked back since. Cameron left his occupation as a corporate lawyer in 2004 to join Tâm in creating an enjoyable family food business they call Saigon Soul Food. |
